Qudrat Ullah Shahab (or Qudratullah Shahab; 1917– July 24 1986) (Urdu: قدرت اللہ شہاب) was an eminent Urdu writer and civil servant from Pakistan.

Q.A. Shahab was born in Jammu Kashmir nitially got into civil service by passing the Indian civil service exam some years prior to the independence of Pakistan.

He had worked with Ayub Khan, Yehya Khan, Z.A. Bhutto.

Saving Habit in minor

When I was below the age majority - 18 years (Pakistan) - my parents used to say Beta don't spend all of your money rather you must save some of Rupees from your pocket money. They used to buy ceramic/clay pot  ( اردو:  غلّہ)  for me, so I can put some of my pocket money in the pot for future use. This was the move of my parents to inculcate saving habits in me.
